The study’s sample consists from 400 female and male students. Those students were chosen through using the simple random sampling method. In order to collect the required data, the researcher developed a questionnaire. The latter questionnaire consists from 63 items. A descriptive developmental approach was adopted. It was found Jordanian public universities play a moderate role in developing the international education principles of their students. That was concluded from the perspective of those students. It was found that there isn’t any significant difference at the significance level of (a=0.05) which can be attributed to gender nor major in all the areas jointly and separately. It was found that there is a significant difference at the significance level of (a=0.05) between the respondents’ attitudes towards the role for Jordanian public universities in developing the international education principles of their students. The latter difference is attributed to the academic year for the favor of the second-year students. It was found that the difficulties faced by the Jordanian public universities in developing the international education principles of their students are moderate based on Roger Garaudy’s ideas. That was concluded from the perspective of respondents. It was found that there isn’t any statistically significant difference at the statistical significance level of (a=0.05) which can be attributed to gender, major and academic year. Based on Roger Garaudy’s ideas and the respondents’ views, the researcher proposed an educational role for Jordanian public universities in developing the international education principles of their students. This proposed role involves the scope and areas of this role. These areas include: the problem solving, environment & development, human rights, citizenship, and multiculturalism areas. This proposed role sheds a light on the elements through which universities can develop the international education principles of their students. Such elements include: curricula, university activities and academic staff members. In the light of these results, the researcher recommends embracing the proposed role by Jordanian public universities in order to develop the international education principles of their students based on Roger Garaudy’s ideas and students’ perspective. The study recommends developing the members of the academic staff at Jordanian public universities. That should be done through providing those members with training courses that promote awareness among them about their international education-related responsibilities.
