A1 غالب، معتصم الرشيد AB This study aimed to detect the level of language communication abilities between Down syndrome groups in the city of Wad Medani in central Sudan. The study sample consisted of (30) children with Down syndrome (16) males (14) females, the vineland adaptive behavior scale was used to collect the study data, and the analytical descriptive method was used. The data were analyzed by SPSS, the results of the study showed that: the performance of the linguistic level of children with Down’s syndrome was medium in the dimensions of receptive and expressive language, and there were no statistically significant differences between males and females in the level of expressive and receptive language. There were statistically significant differences in language level due to age. Statistically significant differences in language skills and their dimensions (receptive language and expressive language) in Down syndrome children due to the type of government / private school type. The study recommends early intervention by parents and school to enrich the language of children with Down’s syndrome.
