L’école est un lieu qui contribue à la manifestation du potentiel de l’adolescent quand les pratiques en vigueur prennent compte des spécificités de cet âge. Nous visons à démontrer que la relation entre directeur du cycle secondaire et élèves adolescents est un facteur d’accompagnement en puissance qui reste à être exploré. Encore faut-il que le directeur s’engage à optimiser les possibilités de contact, de partage et de guidance avec les jeunes. Les regards croisés des adolescents et de leurs responsables sur la vie scolaire, la discipline et l’orientation professionnelle constituent un premier pas pour repérer les défis propres au cycle secondaire. Le dialogue demeure l’outil le plus précieux pour nous comprendre entre générations et nous orienter vers une meilleure adaptation de la direction du cycle secondaire aux besoins des adolescents. We aim to show that the relationship between the head of the secondary school and adolescent students can be a positive factor in assisting the adolescent. The head of the secondary department can have an important impact on the proper assistance of the students by fully engaging in optimizing the possibilities of communication and guidance with young people. The crossed views of adolescents and their leaders, on school life, discipline and vocational guidance are a first step in identifying the challenges. Dialogue remains the most valuable tool for a better understanding between generations and for moving towards an improved management of the secondary section to suit the needs of teenage students and increase their overall well-being and chances of success.
