A1 أبو مسامح، عبد السلام سلمان A2 المزين، سليمان حسين موسى A2 الأغا، محمد عثمان A2 شعت، رزق AB This study aims at examining the extent to which the deans of faculties delegate the authority at Gaza universities and its impact on job satisfaction of the staff. This study sample includes staff members of all Gaza universities (500 members). The number of staff members of (Islamic- Alazhar and Alaqsa universities) is (217 members), which presents (40%) of the total population. The researcher follows the analytical- descriptive method to apply this study. The researcher introduces a two-section questioner. The first section contains personal data, and the second discusses the main subjects of the study, which are the extent to which the deans of faculties delegate the authority at Gaza universities (containing three domains and 37 items). The Second measures the extent to which Gaza universities staff is satisfied at the job (containing 5 domains and 38 items) presents the second subject. The researcher used the Statistical Packages for Social Sciences (SPSS) to analyze the responses of the sample members. These were the study results: 1) The deans of faculties at Gaza universities delegate authorities as follows: decision making (76.60%), assignment of tasks and duties (74.60%), and accountability (74.20%). 2) There were no significant differences at (α ≤ 0.05) between means of staff's responses about the extent the deans of faculties can delegate authorities due to (education degree and faculty variables). 3) There were no significant differences at (α ≤ 0.05) between means of staff's responses according the extent the deans of faculties can delegate authorities due to (experience) when making decisions and assigning tasks. 4) There were significant differences at (α ≤ 0.05) a between means of staff's responses according to the extent the deans of faculties can delegate authorities because of (experience) in the domain of accountability in favor of 10-year experience staff. 5) There ware significant differences at (α ≤ 0.05) a between means of staff's responses according to the extent the deans of faculties can delegate authorities due to (university)in favor of Islamic university and Alazhar university staff comparing with Alaqsa university staff in the domains of accountability and assignment of tasks. 6) Job satisfaction at Gaza universities presented a high percentage. The domains of job satisfaction were as follows: self-realization and social status (85.20%), mutual relationship with colleagues (79.40%), relationship with university officials (76.00%), job nature (76.00 %), and salaries and promotions (73.40%). 7) There are no significant differences at (α ≤ 0.05) between means of staff's responses regarding job satisfaction because of (education degree- experience- faculty). - There were significant differences at (α ≤ 0.05) between means of staff's responses regarding job satisfaction due to (university) in favor of Islamic university and Alazhar university comparing with Alaqsa university in all domains. 8) There were significant differences at (α ≤ 0.05) between means of staff's members regarding job satisfaction due to (university) in favor of Alazhar University comparing with Islamic university in the domain of salary and promotion. 9) There was a positive significant correlation at (α ≤ 0.05) between means of staff's responses according to the extent the deans of faculties can delegate authorities at Gaza universities. According to the results of authority granting, the administration of Palestinian universities shall: 1) Promote the administrative regulations, basically delegating authorities in its all types. 2) Take into consideration the importance of accountability. According to the results of job satisfaction, the administration of Palestinian universities shall: 1) Focus on the importance of job satisfaction of the staff and especially salary and promotion. 2) Provide suitable study rooms. 3) Be objective concerning promotions and scholarships regardless of political affiliations. According to the relationship between delegating and job satisfaction: 1) The administration of Palestinian universities shall strengthen the administrative regulations, specially granting authority which is an effective factor on job satisfaction of university staff. 2) The ministry of education and high education shall promote the administrative regulations, and improve the points of weakness regarding authority delegating at universities in order to develop job satisfaction of the university staff.
