A1 محمد، صالح محمد محمود. AB This study aimed to reveal the effectiveness of a training program based on the Forest Club regarding the development of metacognitive thinking skills among students. The sample of the study consisted of (12) male and female students of second year prep school. The researcher applied to them the pre and post- quasi-experimental method on one group. The study tools were the study program and the measure of metacognitive thinking. After statistical analysis, the results revealed the effectiveness of the study program in the development of all skills of metacognitive thinking (Planning - Monitoring - Assessment). Statistical differences were found between the middle ranks of the experimental group grades in the pre and post measurements, the second post-measurement in metacognitive thinking and its subsidiary skills in favor of the second post-measurement and the effect was significant. The results also showed no significant differences between average male and female scores.
