A2 شتوان، حاج AB The present study aimed to find out the existing relationship between the counseling needs and the learning motivation for pupils in the secondary stage of education, and after the adoption of the descriptive correlative comparative approach, and the application of the counseling scale needs prepared by the researchers which includes different counseling needs that the learner needs in the secondary phase, and the learning motivation scale prepared by Youssef Kitami (1989), on a stratified random sample composed of (100) pupils both males and females from the scientific and literary disciplines during the academic year (2015-2016). The results showed the following: 1). The existence of statistically significant relationship between counseling needs and the learning motivation. 2) The existence of statistically significant differences between males and females in the counseling needs. 3) The lack of statistically significant differences between the specialties (scientific and literary) in the counseling needs. 4) The lack of statistically significant differences between the specialties (scientific and literary) in the learning motivation.
