AB This study investigated obstacles that prevent achieving total quality in the faculty of Education in Alexandria University according to the faculty staff's views, attempted to provide methods for overcoming them and measure the impact of the variables of (gender- academic rank – the scientific major) on the staff's views in the fields of (teaching, learning- scientific researchcommunity service – university administration- staff's personal sides). Descriptive method was used and a questionnaire was applied on sample consisted of (100) of teaching staff members was randomly selected. The results revealed that the obstacles were respectively as: obstacles of university administration as a mean of (4.5) referred to very high agreement score, then obstacles of teaching and learning process as a mean of (4.2) referred to high agreement score then obstacles of the scientific research as a mean of (3.9) referred to high agreement score, then obstacles of the society service as a mean of (3.5) referred to high agreement score, then obstacles related with the personal sides as a mean of (3.4) refereed to average agreement score.
