AB This study aimed to identify to what extent listening skills are included in Arabic language textbooks (Lughati Al-Khalidah) designed for the intermediatestage students in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as compared to the other language skills )i.e. speaking , reading, and writing(. To achieve the objective of the study, the researcher analyzed all the activities exercises included in student textbook, and activities textbooks designed for intermediate-stage students in its three levels, using content analysis method. The results of the study showed that there are deficiencies in the inclusion of the listening skill in these books in which it came last in the order of language skills, and its inclusion in these textbooks did not exceed 7.90%.
