A2 غبريال، إيريني سمير AB This study aimed to investigate the association between psychological resilience and the big five model of personality traits (extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism and openness to experience)among special education needs (SEN) student teachers in Egypt and explore the association between the big five model of personality traits related to a high and a low level of psychological resilience. Resilience questionnaire (Radwan, 2015) and personality traits questionnaire (Khariba, 2008) were applied to 80 SEN student-teachers from school of education, Zagazig University in Egypt. The participants aged 19 - 24 years, with a mean age of 20.5 (SD= 3.53). The findings illustrated that: 1) special education needs student-teachers in Egypt showed high level of psychological resilience (92.25); 2) there is statistically significant positive correlation between psychological resilience and the big five factors of personality traits at (0.05) among special education needs student teachers in Egypt.
