A1 علي، علي طاهر عثمان. AB The aim of this study was to know the level of Yemeni mathematics teachers’ performance in light of professional standards. The study also investigated the effects of some variables such as gender, experience and training on math teachers' performance. The descriptive and correlative research methods were used in this study and the data were collected using observation card which was developed in the light of the list of standards that have been reached at. The sample included 36 male and female math teachers from secondary schools in Aden governorate, Yemen. The results were as follows: the means for the various levels of teachers' performance were; planning 1.39, lesson implementation 1.77, and evaluation 2.24. The overall level of mathematics teacher's performance in light of the professional standards was medium 1.80. There were no significant differences in secondary schools math teachers' performance with regard to gender, experience and training. This study provided a set of recommendations to help develop the performance of high school mathematics teachers which include the development of mathematics teachers' preparation programs in Yemeni universities in the light of the approved teacher preparation programs’ standards.
