A1 حيدر، عبد الواحد سعيد محمد. AB The purpose of this study is to determine the extent to which the biology textbooks of secondary schools in Yemen include critical thinking skills. The researcher identified a list of critical thinking skills which are supposed to be existed in biology textbooks of the secondary schools and used this list as a tool for content analysis of 1st, 2nd and 3rd biology textbooks in Yemeni secondary schools. The reliability and validity of this tool were verified, before it is used. The result revealed that the total percentage of critical thinking skills in the biology textbooks of the secondary schools is only 55.51%. The study suggested the necessity integration of critical thinking skills into the curriculum contents.
