AB The study aimed to know the acquisition level of the forth level students of life skills in the college of education, in Turbah - Taiz University and its relationship to their practice during the teaching practice. Furthermore, the study attempted to investigate the difference in acquisition level and practice degree of life skills among students with regards to gender and their study programs. To achieve these aims life skills measurement and observation instruments were developed and used. The measurement instrument in its final form consisted of 80 sub-skills and distributed in 11 main skills in 6 dimensions. Observation instrument in its final form consisted of 74 sub-skills and distributed in 8 main skills in 8 dimensions. The psychometrics characteristics for the two instruments were ensured. The study sample consisted of 109 students from Arabic, holy Quran, math and physics programs. The results indicated that the acquisition level of life skills in general was of medium degree and the practice of these skills was low. The results also showed that there are no significant differences in their acquisition level of these skills or their practice attributed to gender and programs of study. In addition, there is no correlation between acquisition level of life skills and their practice degree.
