A2 طنوس، عادل AB The purpose of this study was to investigate the efficacy of a supervision program based on cognitive behavioral model in improving counseling skills and reducing psychological stresses among school counselors in Tafila. The sample of this study consisted of (30) school counselors from Public schools in Tafila Governorate, who agreed to participate in the study, and whom showed the highest scores on psychological stresses Scale and lowest scores on counseling skills Scale. The participants were randomly assigned to two groups: experimental group included (15) counselors, who received a supervision program consisted of (18) sessions, lasted for (9) weeks; and control group included (15) counselors, who did not receive any training and supervision program. The Scale of counseling skills and the scale of psychological stress were administered to both groups as pre-test and post- test. Follow up measure was taken after three weeks for only the experimental group. The results of the study showed significant differences between the two groups regarding the level of psychological stresses and counseling skills in favor of experimental group According to the results of the study several recommendations were suggested.
