AB This study aimed to investigate the effect of using the direct teaching strategy which is supported with inquiry on the achievement and Algebraic problem solving ability for Amman strip students with learning disabilities. The sample consists of 60 students of Amman Strip students with learning disabilities in mathematics, they were randomly divided into two groups, one of them is experimental and the other is control. To answer the questions of the research, the researcher developed an achievement exam which was assured of its reliability and validity, and Algebraic problem solving ability exam, also reliability and validity have been assured. The result of the study revealed that there is a significant statistical difference (α ≤ 0.05) between the two average scores groups, the experimental group(taught by using direct strategy supported with inquiry), and control group(taught by traditional strategy) in students’ achievement and Algebraic problem solving in fever of the experimental group. With according to the results, the researcher introduced some suggestions and recommendations.
