A1 Osman, Shaimaa Salah Eldeen Mohamed A2 Ibrahim, Nagla Bab-Elkeir A2 Abdalla, Hagir Idriss Yousif A2 Farag, Alawia Ibrahim AB his research aims to study the using of technology to enhance teaching English language oral skills in governmental basic schools in Omdurman / Karrari locality in the academic year (2015-2016), to explore the types of technologies that was used by basic schools teachers to teach English language oral skills in governmental basic schools, to identify the challenges in using technology in governmental basic schools, to highlight basic schools pupils view on using technology in learning English language oral skills. This research uses mixed methods research design (qualitative and quantitative methods ), it uses questionnaire for teachers , focus group discussion for pupils and interview for headmasters, it uses statistical package for social science (questionnaire) and thematic content analysis for (focus group and interview) data analysis. The research findings show that the majority of the schools in Karrari locality are not having technology devices to teach English oral skills but teachers are using it to teach English oral skills and some of them bring it from their own efforts because it is not available (expensive) , most of these schools are located in poor area and there is no support for them from ministry of education or parents, some teachers are not trained to use technology if it is available , power problem in these schools and lack of basic services, no technical support to help the teachers to use these devices. Pupils in these schools like technology and they use it to help them for learning English oral skills and they like to apply it in their schools because it help them in learning, the recommendations of this research are support all schools with different kinds of technology because it is important tool to teach second language oral skills, train all the teachers at using technology and provide them with laptops and computers to know how to work on it properly, provide all schools with technical support to help teachers when they face technical problems , give more care to English oral skills and try to increase it on the English language syllabus.
