AB The research consisted of five units, the first unit (research definition) included of a simple introduction about the importance of physical education for the growth of the student, his personality, social relationships and his ability in innovation and creativity. It also included the need to using new approaches in learning that helps students to increase self-confidence and making use of available information to make new relationships. The importance of research will appear through the use of the overlap between cooperative learning and guided discovery in the development of some basketball skills to students. Formed (sample) of 40 female students from the second class in a secondary school. The sample is divided into two groups, control and experimental. Overlap style was applied to the experimental group, while the female controlled group remained on the prescriptive style taken by the school teacher. Testing was performed on the students (before starting the research), the sample divided into (4) cooperative groups and the educational program were applied for them, and then testing was performed after. Conclusion has been reached that the overlap style between cooperative learning and guided discovery affects the development of some of basketball skills for female students.
