This study aims to identify the effectiveness of using digital story in developing the reading skills in Arabic Language for 2nd grade elementary students and their motivations towards it. The researcher has used the descriptive approach and the semi experimental approach, to achieve the objectives of the study, it was developed a scale to measure reading of the skills , which consists of (4) main skills with (16) sub-skills, and build another scale to measure the motivation of students towards the digital story consisted of (19) items, and after the validity and reliability of the tools were played to a random sample of (44) students from the second grade which, distributed to two groups, the experimental group (22) students and the control group (22) students from Quweisma-Amman, in the second semester of the academic year 2018/2019. The results showed that there were a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the pre and post scale of skill of reading in Arabic language due to the use of digital stories and in favor of the experimental group. Also, there were a statistical significance difference between the mean scores of pre and post of the achievement test in the developing reading skills in the Arabic language due to the use of digital stories difference in favor of the experimental group, moreover, there were a statistical significance between the mean scores of pre and post of the motivation scale in favor the experimental group, the researcher, recommended to using the digital story in teaching Arabic language specifically of development reading skills.
