هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى معرفة دور لغة الاشارة والإيماء في تشكيل الصورة الذهنية للتعبير لدى الصم، وذلك عبر تحليل الصور الذهنية التي يتم تشكيلها باليد ولغة الجسد، وملاحظة الجانب اللغوي من هذه اللغة من حيث ابتكار واكتساب وانتاج لغة الإشارة ومقارنة تلك التشكيلات بلغات الإشارة من بلدان مختلفة، وتحليل بنية لغة الاشارة والفرق الثقافي للأصم. استخدم الباحث المنهج الوصف الإرتباطي وكذلك منهج الملاحظة. ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة، اُجريت التجارب على عينة من تلاميذ وتلميذات معاهد الأمل للصم والطلاب الصم بجامعة السودان للعلوم والتكنولوجيا حيث بلغ عدد العينة (120) طالباً وطالبةً أصماً وصماء. ولاستخلاص النتائج استخدم الباحث الحزم الإحصائية للعلوم الاجتماعية (SSPS). وقد اسفرت الدراسة عن النتائج وهي يتسم للصم بمستوى مرتفع في القدرة التعبيرية باستخدام لغة الإشارة. وعدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في الإبداع التعبيري للصم تبعاً لمتغير النوع (ذكر/أنثى). وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في مستوى الإبداع التعبيري تبعاً للصم تبعاً لمتغير العمر. وعدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في الإبداع التعبيري للصم تبعاً لمتغير أسباب الإعاقة. وبناءً على هذه النتائج قدم الباحث عدة توصيات منها على المعلمين والمعلمات مع الصم وتسليط الضوء على أوجة التشابه بين العلامات ومرجعياتها. وإجراء دراسة عن دور الأسرة في تقبل ورعاية الطفل الأصم. This aimed at investigating the role of sign language and gestures in shaping the mental picture among the deaf. The study analyses the mental pictures that are formed by hands and body language, noting the linguistic aspect of this language in terms of innovation, acquisition and production of the signs language. Comparing and contrasting these formations with the signs language from various countries, analyzing the structure of a sign language and the cultural variations among the deaf. The researcher adopted the semi-empirical method, as well as an observation. To achieve the objectives of this study, the experiment was conducted based on the sample of pupils drawn from Amal Institutes of deaf students from Sudan University of Sciences and Technology. The sample comprised (120) male and female students. The researcher used the statistical package of social sciences (SPSS) to extract the research findings. The study has come up with the following findings: the deaf are characterized by high ability of expression by using signs language; there are no statistically significant differences in creative expression among the deaf according to the gender variable (male/female). There are statistically significant differences in the level creative expression among the deaf as attributed to the age variable, there are no statistically significant differences in creative expression among the deaf as attributed to the causes of disability. Based on these results, the study has come up with the following recommendations: teachers and workers who work with the deaf should highlight the differences between the signs and their references, students should be conducted on the role of a family accept the care of the deaf child.
