This study aimed to identify the impact of using PQ4R strategy on improving mathematical problem-solving skills among the 9th grade female students in Gaza. The study tool and materials: Designing the Teacher's Guide based on PQ4R strategy, and testing mathematical problem solving skills in this regard. The sample consisted of 80 female students of the 9th grade in the primary school of Badr (A), where the experimental group consisted of 40 students, and the control group consisted of 40 students too. The study was based on the experimental method. Main results of the study: 1) There were statistically significant differences at a significance level of α=0.05 between the mean scores of the students in the experimental group and the scores of their peers in the control group in the test of mathematical problem solving skills in favor of the experimental group. 2) There were statistically significant differences at a significance level of α=0.05 between the average ranking of the students who have high grades in the experimental group and the average ranking of their peers in the control group in the test of mathematical problem solving skills in favor of the experimental group. 3) There were statistically significant differences at a significance level of α=0.05 between the average ranking of the students who have low grades in the experimental group and the average ranking of their peers in the control group in the test of mathematical problem solving skills in favor of the experimental group. Main recommendations of the study: 1) To employ the PQ4R strategy in teaching mathematics to make this module more enjoyable and interesting. 2) To conduct training courses under the supervision of a number of specialists in the field of mathematics teaching strategies. This should aim to explain to teachers in the field how to use good and correct teaching strategies, especially the PQ4R strategy. This is because this method is based on organized steps that facilitate the learner to reach the deemed educational goal in the learning process. (Author's abstract)
