This study aimed at examining the effect of employing Merrill & Tennyson model in learning and memorizing mathematical concepts among seventh grade students in Gaza. The study problem was outlined in the following question: What is the effect of employing Merrill & Tennyson model in learning and memorizing mathematical concepts among seventh grade students in Gaza? In order to achieve the study objectives, the researcher adopted the experimental approach. The researcher purposively selected the school of Saad Bin Waqas (B) for Boys affiliated to Northern Gaza directorate. From this school, two classes were randomly chosen. The study sample consisted of (74) seventh grade students distributed into two classes. The first class represented the experimental group totaling (37) students, while the second class represented the control group totaling (37) students either. The researcher verified the parity of both groups in terms of age, achievement in mathematics course, and the pretest. The researcher prepared the study tools including a content analysis of the third unit (proportion unit) in Mathematics book of seventh grade students and mathematical concepts test for that unit, in addition to preparing a guidebook based on Merrill & Tennyson model. The test was applied pre and after on both experimental and control groups. Test results were pre-analyzed to confirm the parity of both groups, and were post-analyzed to examine the significance of differences between the mean scores of both groups. The statistic methods used for reaching such results including mean scores, standard deviations, correlative coefficients, t-test, and Eta squared to measure the effect size. The study results revealed effectiveness in employing Merrill & Tennyson model in learning and memorizing mathematical concepts among seventh grade. In light of the above results, the researcher recommended adopting Merrill & Tennyson model in teaching Mathematics through different age categories. Additionally, the researcher suggested conducting further studies on employing Merrill & Tennyson model in learning different Mathematical concepts for different study levels. (Author's abstract)
