إستهدفت الدراسة الحالية تعرف نسبة شيوع الذكاء العاطفي والسلوك التكيفي لدى أفراد العينة، والكشف عن نوع العلاقة بين الذكاء العاطفي وكل من السلوك التكيفي من ناحية والتحصيل الدراسي من ناحية أخرى لدى عينة من أطفال الدور الإيوائية بمكة المكرمة، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من 40 طفلا وطفلة، تراوحت أعمارهم الزمنية ما بين (6- 11.5) سنة، واستخدمت الباحثة مقياس الذكاء العاطفي لسوليفان للأطفال تعريب أبو غزال 2004م، ومقياس السلوك التكيفي للشخص 1998م، إستمارة البيانات الأولية من إعداد الباحثة، نتائج التحصيل الدراسي، وقد استخدمت الباحثة لتحليل بيانات الدراسة إحصائيا عددا من الأساليب الإحصائية وهي: النسبة المئوية، المتوسط الحسابي، التكرار، التكرار المجتمعي النازل، الانحراف المعياري، معامل ارتباط بيرسون. وانتهت الدراسة إلى النتائج التالية: 1) شيوع الذكاء العاطفي بنسبة 50% لدى أفراد العينة. 2) شيوع السلوك التكيفي بنسبة 47.5% لدى أفراد العينة. 3) توجد علاقة دالة إحصائيا عند مستوى 0.05 بين الدرجة الكلية للذكاء العاطفي والدرجة الكلية للسلوك التكيفي. 4) لا توجد علاقة بين الدرجة الكلية للذكاء العاطفي والتحصيل الدراسي. وبناءً على هذه النتائج فقد أوصت الباحثة بما يلي: 1) إعداد برامج إرشادية لتحسين نسبة الذكاء العاطفي لدى أفراد العينة. 2) إعداد برامج إرشادية لتحسين نسبة السلوك التكيفي لدى أفراد العينة. 3) الاهتمام بإعداد البرامج الإرشادية التي تساعد المسؤولين في الدور الإيوائية على رعاية الأطفال ودعم ذكائهم العاطفي. 4) إدراج برامج التنمية العاطفية والاجتماعية في المناهج التعليمية. The current Study aimed at investigating the prevalence of emotional intelligence and adaptive behavior of members of the sample, and detect the type of relationship between emotional intelligence and all of adaptive behavior on the one hand, and academic achievement on the other hand a sample of children, the Aliiwaiah role in Makkah and study sample consisted of 40 boys and girls that role, ranging in age time between (6- 11.5 years) and the researcher used the measure of emotional intelligence for the Sullivan Children’s translation Abu Ghazal 2004 measure of adaptive behavior of person 1988, form the raw data prepared by the researcher, the results of academic achievement, The researcher used to analyze statistical data of the study a number of statistical methods, the percentage, arithmetic mean, descending accumulated frequency, standard deviation, Pearson correlation coefficient. The study concluded the following results: 1) The prevalence of emotional intelligence by 50% in the sample. 2) The prevalence of adaptive behavior by 47.5 % with the sample. 3) There is Statistically significant relationship 0.05 between the overall degree of emotional intelligence and the total degree of adaptive behavior. 4) There is no statistically significant relationship between the overall degree of emotional intelligence and academic achievement. Based on these results, the researcher recommended the following: 1) Prepare Guidance programs to improve the rate of emotional intelligence among members of the sample. 2) Prepare Guidance programs to improve the rate of adaptive behavior of members of the sample. 3) Paying attention to conduct guidance programs which help officials in orphanages to take care of their children and support their children’s emotional intelligence. 4) Development programs to include emotional and social development in the educational curricula.
