تأتي أهمية هذه الدراسة، بأنها دراسة تتناول الأغاني، التي تغنى بها كورال جامعة الأحفاد للبنات، وتناولت القضايا الاجتماعية التي بلورت فلسفة وأهداف جامعة الأحفاد للبنات. كما تناولت الأغنيات التي تحدثت عن شخصيات، أسهمت في الحياة الأكاديمية والسياسية والاقتصادية والثقافية والاجتماعية داخل أو خارج السودان، وهي أحد أهداف جامعة الأحفاد في التواصل مع المجتمع. اشتملت الدراسة على أربعة أبواب: الباب الأول: يشمل الإطار العام، ثلاثة فصول. الفصل الأول: المقدمة وخطّة البحث، الفصل الثاني يشمل إجراءات البحث. الفصل الثالث يشمل الدراسات السابقة. وقد جاءت في الفصل الأول مقدمة عن جامعة الأحفاد للبنات، واشتمل الفصل الثاني على الإجراءات التي اتبعها الدارس، عند إجراء الدراسة. أما الباب الثاني، فقد شمل الإطار النظري، وقد احتوى أيضاً ثلاثة فصول: الفصل الأول، تناول الأحفاد-نشأة وتطوراً حيث كانت مدارس إلى أن صارت جامعة مكتملة، ويتناول الفصل الثاني، كورال جامعة الأحفاد للبنات، واشتمل على مقدمة عن تاريخ الغناء النسائي في السودان، مع حديث تاريخي عن تاريخ الأغنية في الأحفاد، منذ بدايتها في عام 1907م. وتطور الكورال، حتى صار أحد مؤسسات الجامعة، التي أسهمت في إظهار الوجه المشرق للجامعة، من خلال الأغنيات التي استهدفت فلسفة ومناهج وأهداف جامعة الأحفاد. الفصل الثالث: تناول شخصيات سودانية وإقليمية، أسهمت في الحياة الأكاديمية والسياسية، والاقتصادية والثقافية والاجتماعية، حيث كان لجامعة الأحفاد للبنات من خلال كورالها، في تخليد ذكرى هذه الشخصيات، فكرمتها داخل وخارج الجامعة، بأغان تم توثيقها في هذه الدراسة، تتحدث عن إنجازات هذه الشخصيات في المجالات التي ذكرت. أما الباب الثالث، فتناول الإطار العملي: وقد اشتمل على نماذج من القصائد التي تغنّي بها كورال جامعة الأحفاد للبنات، والمدونات والتحليل الموسيقي لهذه النماذج. الباب الرابع: شمل النتائج التي توصل لها الدارس، من خلال دراسته والتوصيات والخاتمة والملاحق، ومكتبة البحث التي احتوت علي المراجع والمصادر، والمقابلات الشخصية. The importance of this study comes from the fact that the songs sung by Ahfad choral group ore a manifestation of the philosophy of Ahfad University for women. These songs affect the objectives of the university laid down by the founders. The songs also focused on the history of the country and its benevolent leaders who very effectively participated in the academic, socioeconomic, cultural and political life inside or outside the country. These are also the same objectives of the Ahfad University in general. The study is composed of 4 chapters: Chapter 1: includes three sections: Section 1: is an introduction about Ahfad University. Section 2: the research plan and procedures. Section 3: the previous literature review. Chapter 2: the theoretical framework. It also includes three sections. Section 1: it is about the history of Ahfad University and its development from a school to University College to full university status. Section is about Ahfad Choral. It includes an introduction about women singing in Sudan and the historical background on the history of songs in Ahfad institution since its inception in Rufaa Provence, 1907. The Choral is develope to become one of the most important aspects of Ahfad University for Women that really focus on the objectives and philosophy of the university. Section 3: is about some Sudanese and international characters that participated in the socioeconomic, cultural and political life of the country, The Ahfad Choral reflects all this in its songs. These songs were document in this study. Chapter 3: This chapter includes a complete documented analysis of all the songs sung by the Ahfad Choral, Chapter 4: This chapter reflects the findings by the researcher in this study. It also includes the recommendation and conclusion in addition to the appendices and bibliography, which includes references and personal interviews. Findings the study resulted in the following findings: The Ahfad Choral introduced a number of songs that reflect the philosophy as objectives of the university that used to women empowerment in different fields especially the rural women. The choral successive to communicating with the society the choral reflects some new musical works that enhance the general Sudanese musical. The songs introduced by the choral are a real manifestation of the Sudanese social requirements. Recommendations: The research recommends the following, Teaching the works of Ahfad choral in Sudanese universities, Arranging an archive for the works of the choral, Publishing books on the works of the choral connected with Sudanese and international characters mentioned in the songs, Cooperating with the official cultural institutions to publish the works of the Ahfad Choral.
