يمثل الوقت أحد الموارد المهمة والنادرة والثمينة للمجتمع، حيث إن إدارة الوقت من العوامل التي تلاقي اهتماماً واسعاً في الدول المتقدمة في الحياة العملية والعلمية، بينما تلقى اهتماماً متدنياً في الدول النامية. يعالج هذا البحث مجموعة من القضايا التي تنتج من سوء إدارة الوقت في مؤسسات التعليم العالي في السودان. فالهدف الأساسي لهذه الدراسة هو معرفة أثر إدارة الوقت على الأداء الوظيفي في مؤسسات التعليم العالي في الفترة ما بين 2005-2010م (دراسة تطبيقية على جامعة الزعيم الأزهري). يقوم البحث على فحص الفرضية الأساسية القائلة؛ توجد علاقة طردية بين الإدارة السليمة للوقت وحجم العمل الذي يستطيع الفرد إنجازه في الظروف العادية للعمل. وقد أثبتت صحة هذه الفرضية من خلال الدراسة. استخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي والتحليل لعرض وتحليل البيانات التي جمعت من عينة عشوائية في جامعة الزعيم الأزهري. أما أهم النتائج التي توصل إليها فهي: 1) إن الإدارة الجيدة للوقت تساعد على القيام بالأعمال اليومية بشكل منظم وبكفاءة عالية، كما تساعد على ترقية أداء العاملين وتحقيق الرضا الوظيفي لهم. 2) تساعد على اكتشاف الاحتياجات التدريبية. إن عملية إهدار الوقت مسؤولية جميع من في المؤسسة على كافة المستويات. وقدمت الدراسة عدداً من التوصيات، أهمها: 1) ضرورة الاهتمام بإدارة الوقت، ونشر قيم إدارة الوقت وتحفيز العاملين للتعامل معه بمسؤولية. 2) تدريب العاملين في المؤسسة على طرق وأساليب إدارة الوقت. 3) الاهتمام بالتدريب ونشر ثقافته. Represents the time one task and the resources of rare and precious to the community, as the time management of the factors that the convergence of wide interest in the developed countries in their practical and scientific, while there is a low interest in developing countries. This research deals with a range of issues that result from poor time management in higher education institutions in Sudan. The main aim of this study is to know the effect of time management on the performance of institutions of higher education in the period between 2005-2010. Applied study on Alzaem Alazhari University. The research to examine the basic premise b there was a relationship between the sound management of time and amount of work that an individual can achieve in normal conditions of work. And which have proven right through the study. It used the descriptive method and analysis of the presentation and analysis of data collected from a random sample Alzaem Alazhari University. The main findings of the study, said good management of time help to do daily work in an orderly and efficient, and help to upgrade the performance of employees and the achievement of job satisfaction to them. It also helps to detect training needs. The process of wasting time all of the responsibility in the organization at all levels. The study made a number of recommendations including the need for attention to time management, and dissemination of the values of time management and motivating employees to deal with it responsibly.
