AB - هدف البحث إلى تعرف العلاقة بين معنى الحياة والاكتئاب النفسي لدى عينة من طلبة الجامعة، والتعرف على دلالة الفروق في إجابات أفراد عينة البحث على مقاييس معنى الحياة والاكتئاب وفقا لمتغير الجنس (ذكور، إناث) ووفقا لمتغير مكان السكن (مقيم مع أهله، مهجر)، ولتحقيق أغراض الدراسة تم تطبيق مقياس معنى الحياة ترجمة الأعرجي (2007)، وقائمة بيك لأعراض الاكتئاب ترجمة سامر رضوان، على عينة مؤلفة من (131) ذكورا و(190) إناثا من طلبة السنة الرابعة من كليات جامعة دمشق. توصلت الدراسة إلى النتائج الآتية: 1) توجد علاقة ارتباطية ذات دلالة إحصائية وسلبية بين معنى الحياة والاكتئاب النفسي. 2) توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات درجات أفراد العينة على مقياس معنى الحياة وفقا لمتغير الجنس لصالح الإناث. 3) لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات درجات أفراد العينة على قائمة بيك لأعراض الاكتئاب وفقا لمتغير الجنس. 4) توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات درجات أفراد عينة الدراسة على مقياس معنى الحياة وفقا لمتغير مكان السكن لصالح الطلاب المقيمين مع الأهل. 5) توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات درجات أفراد عينة الدراسة على قائمة بيك لأعراض الاكتئاب وفقا لمتغير مكان السكن لصالح الطلاب المهجرين. 6) يمكن التنبؤ بالاكتئاب من خلال معنى الحياة لدى أفراد عينة الدراسة. AB - The research aims to identify the relationship between the meaning of life, depression and psychological among a sample of university students, and exposure for the differences between the study variables according to gender (male, female), according to the variable of student status (resident with his family, displaced). To achieve the purposes of the study the scale of the meaning of life was applied, translation of Araji (2007), and a list of symptoms of depression Beck composed on a sample of 131 males and 190 females from the fourth year students from the faculties of the University of Damascus, and the study found the following results: 1) There was a negative relationship between the meaning of life and psychological depression. 2) There were statistically significant differences in favor of females in the meaning of life. 3) There were no significant differences between males and females in the depression. 4) There were significant differences in the meaning of life, according to the variable of student status for the benefit of living with parents, and psychological depression for the benefit of the displaced.
