AB - هدف البحث إلى دراسة جودة الحياة وعلاقتها بالتفاؤل لدى طلبة كلية الحقوق في جامعة دمشق وفقا لبعض المتغيرات. لقد تم اعتماد المنهج الوصفي التحليلي. وقد تكونت العينة من (300) طالبا وطالبة من كلية الحقوق. اعتمد مقياس جودة الحياة الصادر عن منظمة الصحة العالمية، وتم بناء مقياس جديد وهو مقياس التفاؤل. بعد تطبيق المقياسين أسفرت النتائج عن: كان توزع العينة طبيعيا، لدى الطلبة مستوى من جودة الحياة والتفاؤل مرتفع نسبيا، وجود علاقة إيجابية بين جودة الحياة والتفاؤل (**0.54)، لا يوجد فرق في جودة الحياة أو في التفاؤل بين طلبة السنة الأولى والسنة الرابعة، لا يوجد فرق في جودة الحياة بين الذكور والإناث، يوجد فرق في التفاؤل بين الذكور والإناث، توجد علاقة إيجابية بين جودة الحياة والمعدل الدراسي (**0.13)، لا توجد علاقة بين التفاؤل والمعدل الدراسي، لا يوجد فرق في جودة الحياة أو التفاؤل تبعا لمتغير المرض. بالنهاية قدمت مجموعة من المقترحات. AB - This research aimed to study the quality of life and its relationship with optimism among students of faculty of law at Damascus University according to some variables. The researcher used the descriptive analytic method. The sample was (300) students from the Faculty of Law. There is measurement of quality of life assessment (WHOQOL– BREF) by world health organization, and Optimism Scale (OS) was built in this study according to methodic steps which are used in the scale structure. The results showed the following results: The distribution was normal, the students had a high level of Quality of Life and Optimism. There was a positive relationship between the quality of life and optimism (0.54**). There were no differences in the quality of life or optimism between the first level and the fourth level. There was no difference in the quality of life between males and females. There was a difference in optimism between males and females; there is a positive relationship between the quality of life and academic average (0.13**). There was no relationship between optimism and academic average. There were no differences in the quality of life or optimism in accordance with illness. Finally, a set of suggestions was offered.
