AB - هدفت الدراسة إلى بحث تأثير كل من الذات ما وراء المعرفية وسمات الشخصية على التحيز التأكيدي لدى طلاب الجامعة. بلغت عينة الدراسة (317) طالبا وطالبة (98 ذكور، 219 إنثى) من طلاب الفرقتين الثالثة والرابعة. اعتمدت الدراسة على قائمة العوامل الخمسة للشخصية (Costa & McCrae,1992؛ ترجمة وتعريب محمد أحمد هيبة، 2011)، ومقياس الذات ما وراء المعرفية الذى أعده (Brycz &Karasiewicz, 2011؛ ترجمة وتعريب الباحث) ومقياس التحيز التأكيدي (Rassin, 2008؛ ترجمة وتعريب الباحث). تم استخدام اختبار "ت" للعينة الواحدة، ومعامل الارتباط، وتحليل الانحدار المتعدد. توصلت نتائج الدراسة إلى أن مستوى الذات ما وراء المعرفية والتحيز التأكيدي متوسط لدى عينة الدراسة، كما وجدت علاقة ارتباطية موجبة دالة عند مستوى (0.01) بين العصابية والتحيز التأكيدي، وعلاقة ارتباطية سالبة دالة عند مستوى (0.01) بين أبعاد (الانبساطية، والتقبلية، ويقظة الضمير) بينما لم توجد علاقة بين التفتح على الخبرات والتحيز التأكيدي. ووجدت علاقة ارتباطية موجبة دالة عند مستوى (0.01) بين أبعاد الذات ما وراء المعرفية والدرجة الكلية والتحيز التأكيدي، كذلك، تنبأت العصابية وبعدا (التأثير الاجتماعي، الأحكام الذاتية المتحيزة نحو الكفاءة) بالتحيز التأكيدي لدى طلاب الجامعة. AB - The study aimed to investigate the effect of metacognitive self and personality traits on confirmation bias among university students. The study sample consisted of (317) male and female students (98 males, 219 females) of the third- and fourth-year students. The study relied on a list of the five personality factors (Costa and McCrae, 1992), (translated and Arabized by Mohamad Ahmed flaiba, 2011), and the Metacognitive Self Scale prepared by (Brycz and Karasiewicz, 2011) (translation and arabization of the researcher) and the confirmation bias scale (Rassin, 2008, the researcher’s translation and Arabization), the single-sample t-test, correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis were used. The results of the study concluded that the level of the metacognitive self and the confirmation bias are average for the study sample, and a positive correlation was found at the (0.01) level. Between neuroticism and confirmation bias, while there is a significant negative correlation at the (0.01) level between the dimensions (extraversion, agreeable, and conscientiousness), while there is no relationship between openness to experiences and confirmation bias, and there is a positive significant correlation at the 0.01 level between the dimensions of the self. Metacognitive, total score, and confirmation bias, that neuroticism and dimension (social influence, biased self-judgments toward competency) predict confirmation bias in college students.
