AB - هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن فاعلية برامج الشات بوت في تعزيز مهارات التعلم الذاتي لدى طلاب الجامعات الكويتية، واستخدمت الدراسة المنهج شبه التجريبي بتصميم المجموعتين التجريبية والضابطة، مع القياسين القبلي والبعدي، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من 80 طالباً وطالبة في مرحلة البكالوريوس من ثلاث جامعات كويتية، واشتملت أداة الدراسة على مقياس مهارات التعلُم الذاتي. وأظهرت النتائج تحسناً كبيراً في مهارات التعلُم الذاتي لدى المجموعة التجريبية التي استخدمت برامج الشات بوت مقارنة بالمجموعة الضابطة، مع تأثير كبير لجميع الأبعاد المدروسة. وبناءً على النتائج أوصت الدراسة بدمج برامج الشات بوت في العملية التعليمية لتطوير مهارات التعلُم الذاتي للطلبة، وتوفير البنية التحتية اللازمة لدعم هذا التحول الرقمي في الجامعات. AB - The aim of this study was to examine the effectiveness of chatbot programs in enhancing self-directed learning skills among university students in Kuwait. The study used a quasi-experimental design with experimental and control groups, including pre- and post-assessments. The study population consisted of all undergraduate students in Kuwaiti universities, and a purposive sample of 80 students from three universities was selected. A self-directed learning skills scale was used to assess various dimensions of self-learning. The results showed significant improvement in self directed learning skills among the experimental group using chatbot programs, compared to the control group, with a substantial impact on all studied dimensions. Based on the findings, the study recommended integrating chatbot programs into the educational process to develop students' self-directed learning skills, as well as providing the necessary infrastructure to support this digital transformation in universities.
