AB - This study investigates the impact of a stem intervention technique on students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills in mathematical classes, specifically when employing a robotic kit approach. A study was conducted to evaluate the impact of robotics usage on the creative and critical thinking abilities of 30 students from both the fourth and fifth grades at a private school in Lebanon. To gather data, the researcher employed a survey with a series of pre and post-tests. Interviews were conducted and analyzed. Two surveys assessed fourth grade and fifth grade students’ perceptions of the robotic kit’s effectiveness in fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills; the surveys revealed significant increases in post-test scores. The findings suggested that the challenges presented to the experimental group provide students with an opportunity to cultivate and enhance their creative and problem-solving abilities. The ideas offered were informed by the utilization of best practices in education and instruction. The primary area of inquiry in forthcoming research should emphasis the identification and mitigation of distinct obstacles encountered by students as they endeavor to enhance their mathematical proficiency in the context of educational technological settings and contexts such as robots.
