AB - This study aimed to know the effectiveness of the digital story through inverted learning in developing critical listening skills in the Arabic language for eighth grade students. The researcher used the semi-experimental approach. Where the study sample consisted of (60) students distributed randomly into two groups: the experimental group (30) students were taught by digital story, and the control group (30) students and they were taught in the traditional way. The study concluded that there are statistically significant differences at the level (α=0.05) between the mean scores of the control group that uses the traditional method and the meaning of the experimental group that uses the digital story in favor of the experimental group in the post-measurement in critical listening skills (analysis conclusion, evaluation and judgment). While there were no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the control group that used the traditional method and the average of the experimental group that used the digital story in auditory discrimination skills. The study recommended the need to include critical listening skills in Arabic language curricula, especially in the basic stage, given the nature of the students at that time and their attraction to different techniques.
