AB - هدفت الدراسة الحالية، إلى التعرف على دور وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي (تويتر إنموذجاً) في التوعية بالإعاقة، من وجهة نظر طلاب كلية التربية جامعة المجمعة، وكذلك التعرف على وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزو للجنس، أو المعدل التراكمي، أو المستوى الدراسي، أو التخصص العلمي. وتكونت عينة الدراسة من 233 طالباً وطالبةً، من طلاب كلية التربية بالمجمعة، وطبقت الدراسة في الفصل الدراسي الأول من عام2019 -2020 م، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى أن توتير، كوسيلة من وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي يتمتع بخصائص مثل؛ سعة الانتشار، وسهولة الاستخدام، وتنوع اللغة، والدخول عليه مجاناً، بمتوسط حسابي( 4.5 ) وجاء البعد الخاص، بدور تويتر في التوعية بالإعاقة، بمتوسط حسابي (3.5) بما يؤكد على أنه يلعب دوراً مؤثراً؛ في التوعية بالإعاقة بين طلاب كلية التربية بجامعة المجمعة، وتوصلت الدراسة أيضاً إلى عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية؛ بين أفراد العينة تعزو إلى الجنس، أو المعدل التراكمي، أو إلى المستوى الدراسي، أو إلى التخصص العلمي، وأوصت الدراسة؛ ببعض التوصيات لتفعيل دور وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي، وخاصة تويتر. من أجل؛ التوعية بالإعاقة مثل (عمل منصات على تويتر خاصة بالكليات، والمراكز المتخصصة، والكراسي البحثية، وأقسام التربية الخاصة وغيرها، بهدف نشر الوعي بقضايا الإعاقة، وعمل منصات خاصة بأسباب الإعاقة، وأساليب الوقاية منها. AB - The present study, aimed to identify the role of social media (Twitter) in the awareness of disability from the perspective of the students of College of Education Majmaah University. Moreover, the study aimed to identify any significant differences attributed to gender, GPA, academic level or academic major. The sample included 242 students. The study conducted in the first semester of the academic year 2019/2020. The findings showed that (Twitter) has some characteristics such as: widespread, ease of use, diversity of language, and free access, (mean score = 4.5). In addition, the results of the domain “Twitter's role in disability awareness” (mean score = 3.5) confirm its vital role in the disability awareness among university students. The study also revealed that there are no statistically significant differences among the participants attributed to gender, GPA, academic level or academic major. For enhancing the role of social media in raising the awareness of disability, the study recommended creating platforms on Twitter for colleges, specialized centers, research chairs, departments of special education, and the like.
