AU - خوالد، تهاني رافع محمد AU - زغلول، زهير داود AB - This study aimed to reveal the effectiveness of a training program based on basic skills in swimming on the self-esteem of students with hearing disabilities. The study sample consisted of (14) students with hearing disabilities in Mafraq Governorate, between the ages of (13-17) years, in the second semester of the academic year 2022-2023, who were deliberately selected. The study employed experimental one-group pre-test post-test design. Moreover, to achieve the aim of the study, a measure of self-esteem was used distributed into several domains: general self-esteem, academic self-esteem, social self-esteem, family self-esteem, physical self-esteem, and mathematical self-esteem. Its validity and reliability were verified and applied to the sample. In addition, results showed that there were statistically significant differences at the significance level (α=0.05) between the averages of the study sample's responses between the pre and post measurements in the self-esteem scale, due to the training program based on basic swimming skills. The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the significance level (α=0.05) between the averages of the study sample's responses between the post- and follow-up measurements in the self-esteem scale. Finally, the study recommended holding workshops and training programs for sports teachers in schools with the aim of improving the level of their possession of the basic skills of swimming due to its role in achieving psychological and physical balance for students, adopting swimming within the sports course for various classes, and coordinating with the competent authorities regarding swimming pools near each school and organizing its reservation. weekly or monthly.
