The descriptive analytical method was utilized in this study using content analysis. An intentional sample consisting of: 2 analytical studies of science books in Saudi Arabia concerning science and engineering practices, published by Dar Al-Mandumah database, on science books of the following levels: primary (first, third, fifth) grades (2015-2016), and the teacher guides of the same grades (printed version, 2013-2014).The most significant outcomes were the attainment of different dimensions of science and engineering practices (i.e. procedural knowledge, conceptual knowledge, and nature of science) of student books and teacher guides, at varying degrees within the study sample. In addition, science and engineering practices in teacher guides of the study sample were noted to be higher as compared to the student books. The results of this study differed from the results of previous studies in this regard. Accordingly, recommendations and suggestions are presented herein.
