AU - البلوشي، أمينة عبود AU - العزبي، مديحة محمد AU - أكرم، هديل عبد الله AB - The study aimed to design a treatment program for learning difficulties in reading for primary school students in the Sultanate of Oman, and its impact on academic achievement and their self-esteem, and the study followed the experimental approach, where the program was applied to a sample (experimental (10) students, and a control sample (10) students). From Al-Steph School for Basic Education and Malik Bin Anas School for Basic Education in Al-Buraimi Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman. Document analysis was also used to collect information and data. The results of the study reached a continuous high level of academic achievement and self-esteem of the experimental group pupils even after the completion of the program, and this confirms The effectiveness of the program, and the positive impact of its sessions Its effectiveness was evident in the absence of statistically significant differences between the post and tracer measures on the measure of academic achievement of the experimental group students. The study recommended: The importance of teachers ’awareness of the processes, and comprehension strategies related to reading and writing, and training their pupils on how to use them and apply them. The researcher believes that curricula and language courses in general should include processes and strategies that contribute to the development of linguistic understanding at various school levels, and preparing courses And developmental training programs for male and female teachers teaching different languages.
