AB - The study aimed to: determine the nature of epistemological trends with the students of Faculty of Education, University of Hail; identify the level of their academic self-concept; and explore the relationship between epistemological trends and the academic self-concept. A correlative descriptive approach was used by the researcher in that she designed a measurement for epistemological trends and another one for the academic self-concept. These tools were administered to a sample of (77) female students from the Faculty of Education, University of Hail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The findings showed that: the nature of the epistemological trends of the students was generally positive; and the level of their academic self-concept was high; there was a positive relationship between the epistemological trends and academic self-concept. Accordingly, the study recommended paying attention for strengthening the epistemological trends with students through holding scientific seminars to clarify the cognitive foundations of the nature of epistemology.
