AU - السحيمي، عبد العزيز بن عبد الله AU - الهذلول، عبد الرحمن بن حمود AB - هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على أهم الكفايات اللازمة لرؤساء الجامعات الأهلية غير الربحية في المملكة العربية السعودية، وركزت في أهدافها وأسئلتها على الوصول لأهم الكفايات اللازمة في ثلاثة محاور: الكفايات القيادية، الكفايات الإدارية، الكفايات ذات الصلة بجانب العلاقات. استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي لمناسبته لطبيعة الدراسة، وأداتها الاستبانة. حيث أظهرت النتائج أن المحاور الثلاثة تقع بدرجة أهمية عالية، وكانت الأعلى في الأهمية - كما أظهرته المتوسطات الحسابية- هي الكفايات المتعلقة بالجانب القيادي، ثم العلاقات، ثم الكفايات الإدارية. وكشفت الدراسة أيضا أهمية امتلاك قادة الجامعات للرؤى الاستراتيجية ككفاية رئيسة في الجانب القيادي. إلى جانب ذلك، أظهرت الدراسة أن النظر في تطلعات الطلاب الجامعيين واحتياجاتهم يعتبر كفاية ضرورية لمدير الجامعة. وأوصت الدراسة بمزيد من الاهتمام بالأبحاث المتعلقة برؤساء الجامعات بكل أنواعها خاصة بعد إقرار نظام الجامعات الجديد والذي مكن مجالس الأمناء من ترشيح الكفاءات لقيادة الجامعات. (الملخص المنشور) http://search.shamaa.org/abstract_ar.gif AB - The study aimed to explore the most important competencies required for president of non-profit universities in Saudi Arabia in three dimensions: Leadership competencies, administrative competencies and Communication competencies. Questionnaire was used to collect data for descriptive analysis. The result indicates the importance of the three dimensions of competencies, in which they were ranked very important competencies, with leadership competencies being at the top followed by communication competencies then administrative competencies. The study also revealed that having strategic vision is considered as a major competency of leadership side. Besides, the study showed that paying attention of student's needs is a vital competency for university presidents. The study also recommends conducting further research concerning the presidency position of universities in all types; public, private and nonprofit especially after announcing the Royal Decree regarding new university law which enables board of trustees to nominate outstanding candidate to lead the universities. The presence of nomination standers will help the board of trustees to increase their chances of selecting the right candidate.
