AB - The study aimed at identifying the most common behavioral problems among kindergarten children as a result of using smart devices as perceived by the parents. The study also sought to investigate the significant differences in the behavioral problems of preschool children according to gender and percentage of use. The study further aimed to investigate what independent variables were able to predict the behavioral problems of the study’s sample. The researchers developed two instruments: The use of kindergarten children of Smart Devices and The Behavioral Problems of Kindergarten children as Perceived by parents The study’s sample consisted of (508) Bahraini boys and girls randomly selected from different kindergartens in Bahrain. The results of the study showed that the most prevalent problem was hyperactivity and that (53.1%) of the study’s sample were using smart devices for more than two hours a day. Finally, the study showed that parental control and the percentage of using smart devices were able to predict the behavioral problems of the study’s sample. In light of the results, the researchers proposed a set of recommendations. (Published abstract) http://search.shamaa.org/abstract_en.gif
