AB - The study aimed at identifying the training needs for the faculty members of Arab Open University in Saudi Arabia, the researcher used descriptive analytical method as it suits the current study. The sample of the study was composed of 90 faculty members of the university in the second semester of the academic year 2017- 2018. The tool was applied to a sample of 86 items covering seven areas (personal skills, teaching skills, elearning skills, research skills, e-learning and integrated learning skills,community responsibility skills, quality assurance and administrative and leadership skills). The results of the study showed that the training needs in all fields of the study were high, and that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05≥ a) between the average scores of the sample of the study for the training needs of the faculty members at Arab Open University due to the study variables which are (gender, kind of leave, years of experience). In the light of the results, the study recommended promoting continuous training and professional development for the faculty members, and establishing a unit to improve performance.
