AU - الربخي، أحمد بن ناصر بن سليم AU - العبري، خلف بن مرهون AU - العاني، وجيهة ثابت AU - الدروشي، عبد الرحيم مسلم AU - العمري، أيمن أحمد AU - الذهلي، ربيع بن المر AB - هدفت الدراسة التعرف إلى واقع إدارة الأنشطة العلمية والبحثية لطلبة الدراسات العليا والتحديات التي تواجهها بكلية التربية بجامعة السلطان قابوس من وجهة نظر الطلبة والمشرفين. تناولت الدراسة خمس مجالات: "البحث العلمي"، "الأنشطة والفعاليات العلمية"، "المساندة والدعم الفني"، "الدعم المالي"، و"الإشراف البحثي على الرسائل العلمية". واتبعت الدراسة المنهج المختلط وقد تم تصميم أداتين للدراسة تضمنت استخدام الاستبانة لجمع البيانات من عينة الدراسة المكونة من طلبة الماجستير والدكتوراه بالكلية وشارك 156 طالبًا وطالبة، وكذلك إجراء مقابلة مع عينة الدراسة المكونة من أعضاء هيئة التدريس ممن يقومون بالإشراف على رسائل الماجستير والدكتوراه وشارك 7 سبعة أعضاء من مختلف أقسام الكلية. وكشفت نتائج الدراسة وفق تقديرات أفراد العينة حول واقع إدارة الأنشطة العلمية والبحثية بمستوى متوسط وذلك بمتوسط حسابي قيمته 2.81 وانحراف معياري بلغ 0.62، وجاء ترتيب مجالات الدراسة من الأعلى إلى الأدنى كالتالي: "الإشراف البحثي على الرسائل العلمية"، "المساندة والدعم الفني"، "البحث العلمي"، "الأنشطة والفعاليات العلمية"، و"الدعم المالي"، كما كشفت نتائج الدراسة أنه لا توجد خريطة بحثية في جميع الأقسام بالكلية، وضعف إقبال الطلبة على الانضمام في المجموعات البحثية، وإلى عدم وجود آلية رسمية من الكلية لقيام الطلبة بالنشر العلمي، ويتم إتاحة الفرص للطلبة للمشاركة في المؤتمرات واللقاءات العلمية، وتتاح لهم فرصًا أوسع في تنظيم المؤتمرات التي تقيمها الكلية. وأشارت النتائج أيضًا إلى ضعف حركة التأليف وترجمتها كنشاط يقوم به طلبة الدراسات العليا، وأشارت إلى وجود دعم أكاديمي يقدم على هيئة ورش للطلبة، وأن الكلية تهتم للاستماع لآراء الطلبة ومشكلاتهم من خلال لجان التواصل الطلابي، كما اشارت النتائج إلى عدم وجود آلية واضحة لربط الطلبة بعضهم ببعض لتبادل الخبرات بينهم والتغذية الراجعة واقتصارها على جهود الطلبة أنفسهم في تكوين مجموعات خاصة بهم، وأشارت أيضًا بالنسبة لخدمات تقديم خدمات الاستشارة العلمية والتحكيم للطلبة لا يوجد تأطير لها وإنما تتم في إطار التعاون الفردي والجهود الذاتية، وإلى قلة معرفة الطلبة بمهارات الاستفادة من المصادر المتاحة، وأن عدد المنح المقدمة لطلبة الدراسات العليا مناسبة مقارنة بعدد الطلبة الملتحقين ببرنامج الماجستير إجمالا، وأن هناك نقص في عدد المنح المقدمة لطلبة الدكتوراه، وإلى اختلاف آليات تعيين المشرفين على الرسائل العلمية من قسم لآخر. The study aimed at answering the following questions: 1) What is the reality of the management of scientific and research activities for postgraduate students at Sultan Qaboos University, college of education as perceived by students themselves? 2) What is the reality of the management of scientific and research activities for postgraduate students at Sultan Qaboos University, college of education as perceived by supervisors? 3) What are the challenges facing the management of scientific and research activities for postgraduate students at Sultan Qaboos University, college of education? In order to answer study questions, a mixed approach was used. An interview card and a questionnaire were used in order to collect data. Semi-open interviews were conducted with (7) faculty members participated in the quantitative study, and the questionnaire was used to collect data of (156) students participated in the qualitative study. The study dealt with five fields: "scientific research", "scientific activities and events", "support and technical support", "financial support", and "research supervision of scientific thesis". The results of the qualitative study were that reality of the management scientific and research activities at an average level, with an arithmetic mean of 2.81 and a standard deviation of 0.62, and the order of the fields of study from highest to lowest was as follows: "research supervision of scientific thesis", "supporting and technical support", "Scientific research", "scientific activities and events", and "financial support". The results of the quantitative study were; there is no research map in all departments of the college, and students’ demand for joining research groups is little or less than the hoped-for level, and that there is no official mechanism from the college for students to publish scientifically, and there are many opportunities are provided for students to participate in conferences and scientific meetings, and they have greater opportunities in organizing conferences held by the college. The results also indicated the weakness of the authorship movement and translation as an activity carried out by postgraduate students and indicated that there is academic support provided in the form of workshops for students, and the college interested in listening to students’ opinions and problems through student communication committees, and the results indicated that there is no clear mechanism for connecting students to each other. there is no organizing for providing scientific advice and arbitration services and its done within individual cooperation and self-efforts for supervisors, and lack of students’ knowledge of skills to benefit from the available resources, And that the number of scholarships offered to postgraduate students is appropriate compared to the number of students enrolled in the master’s program as a whole, And that there is a shortage in the number of scholarships offered to doctoral students, and that the mechanisms for appointing supervisors for thesis differ from one department to another.
