AB - This study aimed to reveal the state of evaluative questions in the Mathematics Textbooks for Basic Stage in Jordan with respect to the cognitive domains that encompasses knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation. And with respect to the questions as a supply type or selection type. The sample of the study consisted of all the evaluative questions in the three textbook: 2 nd , 5 th, and 8 th grades. The study sample consisted of (1023) questions. For the purpose of reliability, two arbitrator’s members were chosen to scrutinize both tools prepared by the researcher. The study's main findings were the following: Questions in low cognitive levels represented the highest percentage in the sample of the study. On the other hand, the outcomes have shown the rates of the followings: knowledge (2.9%), comprehension (33.9%), application (27.4%), analysis (11.4%), synthesis (9.8%), Evaluation (14.3%). While more supply type items were observed in the textbooks. Several recommendations were suggested within the research framework. (Published abstract)
