Slow learners need more focus especially in terms of the factors affecting the quality of their learning outcomes. This article presents a theoretical framework about motivation for learning and slow learners group. The first section is related to motivation for learning and includes the concept of motivation and its significance and functions. This section also includes the reasons that lie behind the low motivation of learners. The second section covers the general concept of slow learners as well as the psychometric and social definition of this special group. It also includes the body-related, social, and mental characteristics of slow learners. It also covers the strategies of helping slow learners and the effects of the lack of motivation on their academic learning outcomes.
