AB - Due to the characteristics of the current era that define its identity, including the rapid change, information flow, and the technological revolution in all fields. These characteristics represent a great challenge facing education, which necessitates the need to pay attention to its development and improvement because of its great and central importance in improving the economies of countries and competitiveness at the international level, and hence the hybrid learning. Which is considered an educational alternative that helps to change the traditional learning contexts and the use of electronic teaching and learning environments, is considered an important input in the development and improvement of education among students, especially students with special needs. The current study aimed at recognizing the importance of blended education and revealing its role in achieving academic excellence for students with special needs in light of recent trends, and the descriptive approach was used to achieve that goal. The study dealt with the concept of blended education, its philosophy and its importance in ensuring the quality of education, the requirements for its application, and so on, then presenting the concept of people with special needs, their classification, and recent trends in empowering them, and as a continuation of the study. The role of blended education in achieving academic excellence for students with special needs was presented. Finally, the study reached a number of proposals and recommendations to contribute to the implementation of Blended education and enhancing its role in achieving academic excellence for students with special needs.
