AB - The paper aimed at: the subject of e-learning in terms of concept, goals and characteristics in addition to the types of e-learning and its mechanisms of employment in teaching, and shedding light on the electronic school, its most important characteristics, units and requirements, and this in addition to identifying the most important obstacles to e-learning, and ways to overcome them. It reached the following most important results: e-learning has many advantages and advantages, including: shortening time and reducing the effort involved in teaching, making education more interesting and enjoyable, teaching a large number of students without time and place restrictions, stimulating self-learning, the ability to review a large amount of information Updating the educational materials provided electronically with everything new, and much more. In return for these many positives, there are negatives and difficulties in e-learning, and they are; Weakness of human interaction between the professor and the student, the lack of a large proportion of teachers and students in the experience of dealing with the means of information and communication technology, and the lack of sufficient requirements for e-learning in the Arab world, and the problem of the repetition of the electronic interruption that is the application of the interruption of the electronic interruption. The paper also presented some recommendations, including: the necessity of adopting the various methods and techniques of e-learning in our university to keep pace with the tremendous knowledge and technical progress and to bridge the gap between our Arab and international universities, providing material support for the provision of requirements and technologies for e-learning from computers and electronic displays, communication networks via the Internet, and databases Virtual libraries with their networks, and appropriate halls and furnishing for this type of education. Holding training courses for teachers and students on the use of information and communication technology and educational software because there are some drawbacks in e-learning.
