AU - أبو الوفا، جمال محمد محمد AU - حسين، سلامة عبد العظيم AU - راضي، أمين محمد عبد السلام AB - هدف هذا البحث إلى الوقوف على تحديات العولمة التي تقف حائلا أمام إدارة المدرسة الثانوية العامة في مصر للوصول إلى المتطلبات اللازمة لتطوير إدارة هذه المدرسة لمواجهة تلك التحديات، واستخدم البحث المنهج الوصفي والذي يتم من خلاله وصف الحقائق والظروف الراهنة الخاصة بطبيعة تلك التحديات، وجمع البيانات وتنظيمها وتصنيفها وتحليلها بدقة للوصول إلى هدف البحث وارتكز البحث على عدة مصطلحات منها (تطوير، متطلبات، تحديات، عولمة). وتوصل البحث إلى نتائج متعددة ومختلفة من أهمها أن العولمة أصبحت سمة أساسية من سمات العصر، تسعى إلى تذويب الحدود والموانع بين الدول وسيطرت الدول الكبرى وفرض هيمنتها الاقتصادية والثقافية والسياسية على بعض الدول خاصة النامية. ونتج عن انتشارها بعض التحديات التي تقف مانعا أمام المدرسة الثانوية العامة عن تحقيق أهدافها، والعولمة لها من الآثار السلبية ما يحتم على الدول التعاون لمواجهتها، وتحتاج إلى التحديات أن تطور إدارة هذه المدرسة من نفسها حتى يمكنها التغلب على تلك التحديات. وأوصى البحث بأنه يجب على إدارة المدرسة الثانوية العامة أن تستخدم الأساليب الإدارية الحديثة والوسائل التكنولوجية التي تساعدها على مواجهة تلك التحديات، أن يتم اختيار مدير المدرسة بطريقة سليمة وأن يشارك جميع العاملين في اتخاذ القرارات.
