AU - بريك، السيد رمضان AB - هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى معرفة دور الكفاءة الذاتية والمساندة الاجتماعية كمتنبئات بالتسويف الأكاديمي لدى الطلاب المتأخرين دراسيّا بجامعة الملك سعود. تكونت عينة الدراسة من (132) طالباً من المتأخرين دراسيّا بعمادة السنة الأولى المشتركة بجامعة الملك سعود، وطبق عليهم مقياس توقعات الكفاءة الذاتية ومقياس التسويف الأكاديمي (إعداد الباحث) ومقياس المساندة الاجتماعية إعداد ديون سوزان (1987)، وانتهت الدراسة إلى مجموعة مـن النتائج منها: وجود ارتباط سالب دال إحصائيّا بين التسويف الأكاديمي وتوقعات الكفاءة الذاتية لدى الطلاب المتأخرين دراسيّا بالسنة الأولى المشتركة بجامعة الملك سعود، كما كشفت النتائج وجود ارتباط سالب دال إحصائيّاً بين التسويف الأكاديمي والمساندة الاجتماعية لدى الطلاب المتأخرين دراسيّا بالسنة السنة الأولى المشتركة بجامعة الملك سعود هذا إضافة إلى وجود علاقة خطية عكسية بين التسويف الأكاديمي وكلا من توقعات الكفاءة الذاتية والمساندة الاجتماعية. The study intended to identify the role of self-efficacy expectancy and social support as predictors of academic procrastination. The sample of the study consisted of 132 students who did not perform satisfactory in their school subjects at the Common First Year - King Saud University. To achieve the goal, the study utilized: The self-efficacy scale and the academic procrastination scale (both developed by the researcher) along with the social support scale (prepared by Suzanne’s Debts, 1987). The results yielded a negative statistically significant correlation between academic procrastination and the self-efficacy expectancy of low- performance students at the Common First Year - King Saud University. Meanwhile, there was a negative statistically significant correlation between the academic procrastination and the social support for students. The results showed a negative linear relation between academic procrastination and both the self-efficacy expectancy and social support.
