AU - علة، عيشة AB - The objective of the present study is to identify the nature of the requirements of the development of the higher education system and the consequences of the outbreak of the COVID-19 Corona virus: the predictions and future prospects in Algeria, as well as the nature of the differences according to the following demographic variables: (Gender), and the sample consisted of 300 individuals, with females = 150 and males = 150; The study tools included a scale prepared by the researcher, the descriptive approach was adopted, resulted the study at the following results: 1) Public assessments of the impact of the COVID-19 virus outbreak on the university can be predicted. 2) There were statistically significant differences at the level of (α ≤ 0,01) in average grades of the requirements of the development of the higher education system and the consequences of the outbreak of the COVID-19 Corona virus: the predictions and future prospects in Algeria according to the variable gender for the benefit of the male professors. There were statistically significant differences at (α ≤ 0,01) in the average scores of the criteria for the quality of scientific research and the future impact of the emerging corona virus in Algeria.
