AU - صفطه، غدير جميل حسن AU - هبد، منى محمد AB - Pre-School children face many situations that require him/ her to choose between various alternatives and make a decision concerning those alternatives. The decision making process is dependent on an important kind of intelligence that consists of the point of concurrence of thoughts with emotions to create what is so called Emotional Intelligence, with emotions to create what is the most important factor to make successful future decisions, and study the relationship of EI with the ability of young children to make decisions. The study has suggested the the existence of differences of statistical significance between average grades for children with high EI and children with low EI on the ability scale of making decisions for children with high EI. A sample for this study has been made on 60 male/ female children of ages between (5-6) years, which have been divided into two groups. The first group consisted of (30) male/ female children with high EI, and the second group consisted of (30) male/ female children with low EI, after applying the social and economical level application, the drawing a man exam, and the EI exam that was prepared and copied by the researcher herself. And for the aim of knowing the relationship between EI with ability in making decisions, the researcher has prepared an ability scale on decision making to be applied on both groups. The researcher has advised the importance of making sessions, seminars, and lectures for those working in the family area and caring after children (nurturing children) and also for mothers, for the aim of making them know the importance of developing the EI, and decision making skills in early childhood. The researcher has advised as well the importance of including in the special courses of kindergarten, units teaching EI skills and it's different dimensions, in addition with decision making skills. Furthermore, she advised that future studies should involve analyzing the dimensions of EI and limiting these dimensions in relation with the decision making ability. She also advised making deep studies in young children decision making, and studying the factors affecting them, and age and sex differences, in addition with studies about the affect of family nurturing on both EI and decision making.
