AB - The study sought to investigate the impact of STSE teaching model, compared to traditional education, in providing eighth grade students with a scientific technological literacy. This model is applied to answer its questions by preparing an achievement test consisting of 34 multiple choice items. The test was applied to 190 students who were randomly selected to participate in the study of the eighth-grade students who were from four schools in the emirate of Dubai. The results of the study showed that there is a statistically significant difference between the control and experimental study groups in the knowledge about the nature of science and technology, the assessment of the interrelationship between science and technology. The achievement of social and environmental decision-making skills, and the overall performance. All these differences were in favor of the experimental group, demonstrating that there is a learning impact on STSE-based learning in the knowledge of the nature of science and technology, appreciation of their interrelationship, acquisition of social and environmental decision-making skills raised by science and technology. The results of the study suggested that the STSE approach be considered in the training and qualification of pre-service and post-service teachers.
