AU - علي، إيمان سلامة محمود AB - The current century is witnessing knowledge and technological developments that have contributed to imposing changes on the educational system. For that reason, many educators call for the need for an educational system that takes into account the requirements of the current century. Taking current century's requirements into consideration will contribute to provide an effective educational environment, suitable conditions for the work of teachers, developing students' experiences and enhancing their learning, by providing them with the necessary skills for the twenty-first century. The focus of the education goals is now on life skills, continuous learning skills, and more broadly on the twenty-first century skills. All of these skills help students adapt to the changing world, and prepare them for competition, creativity and the labor market. Specialists believe that the inclusion of twenty-first century skills in educational curricula will enable educators to achieve many goals. This inclusion also will enable students to learn and achieve higher levels in the essential subjects. Twenty-first century skills also provide a structured framework that ensures learners' involvement in the learning process, help them build confidence, and prepare them for innovation and leadership. In addition, students will actively participate in civic life in the twenty-first century. The partnership association for twenty-first century skills defines these skills as (a set of skills that are necessary to succeed and work in the twenty-first century, such as learning and innovation skills, information, media and technology culture, life and work skills). As a result of the importance of the skills and competencies of the twenty-first century, the present paper will attempt to shed light on those skills showing curricula roles in developing and teaching them among learners.
