AB - The aim of this study was to identify the relationship between the problems of performance evaluation and different dimensions of creative thinking skills in the employees among different colleges and institutes in the University of Jeddah. A total of 120 questionnaires were provided to the different administrative levels, however only 98questionnaires were retrieved for statistical analysis. The questionnaire consisted of two parts: demographic data (age, qualification, job, experience) and problems of evaluation from several parties and the last relationship of those problems and their solutions to creative thinking. The main results included that: the employees are highly creative in these institutions despite their organizations don’t encourage their creativity. There were many problems related to management, evaluators and performance evaluation systems. Many solutions to performance evaluation problems existed to improve the skills of creative thinking. On the other hand, there were no statistically significant differences between the variables of the study and the demographic variables, regarding (age - qualification - experience - job). On the other hand, the study dealt with theoretical framework, previous studies dealt with the evaluation of job performance in addition to the administrative creativity. The theoretical aspects including some definitions of performance and problems of its evaluation, as well as theories of creativity were addressed. One of the most important recommendations is the urgent need to continue studying the same variables at the lower administrative levels. (Published abstract) http://search.shamaa.org/abstract_en.gif
