AU - منصور، سامي عباس AB - The study aimed at identifying the effectiveness of using a suggested training program on improving composition skills among sixth graders primary male school students. The research used Pretest/Posttest. The sample of the study consisted of 30 students. The suggested program consisted of six activities: writing, converting a set of data into a paragraph, summarizing a topic in a paragraph, describing an event in expressive language, composing a short story including basic elements and writing a letter. These activities were carried out for eight weeks. A Pretest was used to measure two types of written expression - persuasion and story writing, and was validated by jury of experts. Participants completed the Posttest after teaching. Using the T test, the results showed the effectiveness of the suggested training program in improving the composition skills. The results also showed an improvement in the students’ skills in written expression in terms of structure as well as language, but less in subject or content. The Study ended with some recommendation.
